Submission Package Assessment: A Review before Submitting to Literary Agents
A report and annotations will evaluate your query letter, synopsis, and opening chapters.
What is a submission package assessment?
This service is for fiction writers who have a complete manuscript and a submission package to send to literary agents. I will review your query letter, one- to two-page synopsis, and first 10,000 words or three chapters (whichever the agencies you are submitting to require). Having worked on both the agency and publishing-house side, I can help make your query letter and pitch stand out to agents, as well as help make the opening chapters and synopsis as strong and exciting as possible. You will receive a report on the elements of your submission package and editorial comments within each document.
Who is it for?
Whether you have a first or almost final draft, I would like to help elevate your manuscript. I believe in a collaborative approach, where I make suggestions to improve your manuscript but allow you to implement the changes (I am always happy to discuss if needed). I edit with clear communication and positivity in mind – I want our collaboration to be useful and I want your book to succeed.
Fiction is my specialty, especially historical fiction and crime, thriller, mystery, and suspense. I read broadly and enjoy anything that is dark, quirky, magical, intense, funny, or unexpected.
I am available for manuscript assessments, developmental edits, line edits, proofreads, and submission package assessments. If unsure which would suit your writing project best, we can discuss and decide together. My services are always bespoke and will be tailored to your project’s needs.
I would love to learn more about you and your writing and have the chance to work together. Please get in touch for a quote or to discuss the type of service you need.
